Saint Patrick's CV Academy 2.0
SASApps
Saint Patrick’s Catholic school, historically, was opened on 28th August 1927. The parishioners helped raise themoney to build a Catholic school. There were 3 members of staff atthe time; the headteacher, Mrs Angland; Miss B Ennis and Mr WHewson. The log book states: ‘Saint Patrick’s school was opened onthis date. The event was an auspicious one.’ 86 years later, wecontinue the journey of this Catholic school as an academy, aschool of learning where children are enthusiastic; enjoy attendingschool; are excited about challenge and where they want to ‘reachfor the stars’, because they can! Saint Patrick’s community, governors, staff, parents and parishioners have collaborated withthe local authority, representatives and the diocese to establish avision to become an academy linked to the Umbrella Trust of AllSaints high school. We have worked closely with Saint Joseph’s; inHandsworth who officially became an academy with Saint Patrick’s onFriday 1st March. The governors and staff will work collaborativelyto create a curriculum that will be unique and engaging allchildren, visionary and utilising members of the community asactive participants in the future success of the school. Theacademy is immersed in 23 languages and rich in a world of cultureand inclusion. The governors lead an academy that is autonomous andreceives finances direct from government; we are planning communityprojects in art; music and developing as an eco friendly school. Wehave been fortunate enough to have received a grant of £8000 todevelop the allotment and we hope to bid for an eco friendlyclassroom in the future. The strength of the collaboration willbring financial benefits to all schools within the Trust and alevel of depth in the curriculum that will have an impact onraising standards. We will continue to work alongside the localschools, because all schools should want the very best for allchildren in the area they reside in.* Keep up to date with all the latest news and events* Receive important updates as it happen with iOS pushnotifications.* View our school timetable and other important times anddates* Contact the school to report important issues.* Add to your iOS contacts with our handy 'Add to contacts'button* View all our key information in the palm of your hand
